Cleantech startups from around the world applied to compete in the first annual SXSW Eco Startup Showcase, with 14 presenting at the conference. Sarah Backhouse of Future360 served as Emcee, with Judges coming from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Black Coral Capital, Austin Ventures, Nth Power and Intel to select the three Finalists and finally the Winner of the Startup Showcase.

Congratulations to our 2012 Startup Showcase participants. These pioneers offered innovation across a wide range of cleantech sectors including agriculture, air, energy, green building, recycling, transportation and water.

Winner:

PlanetReuse, an online marketplace facilitating building material reuse nationwide. They closed their Series A funding less than a month after presenting at the conference.
